Dr. Pascal Magne, PhD
Dr. Magne is an Associate Professor with Tenure & the Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation Chair of Esthetic Dentistry in the Division of Restorative Sciences, USC, He graduated from University of Geneva Dental School, Switzerland, in 1989 with Med. Dent. Obtained his Doctorate in 1992 and Ph.D. degree in 2002. He received postgraduate training in fixed prosthodontics and occlusion, operative dentistry & endodontics, was lecturer at same university from 1989 until 1997. From 1997–1999, he was a Visiting Assoc. Professor at Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics, University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. After 2 years research, he returned to University of Geneva Dental School and assumed position of Senior Lecturer in Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion until recruited to USC in 2004. He is recipient of multiple awards from Swiss Science Foundation, Swiss Foundation for Medical-Biological Grants, 2002 Young Investigator Award from International Association for Dental Research as well as 2007, 2009 and 2018 Judson C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award (published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry) and 2017 EVY AACD Award for Outstanding Innovation in Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Author of numerous clinical & research articles on esthetics and adhesive dentistry and internationally known mentor & lecturer on these topics. He authored the book Bonded Porcelain Restorations in the Anterior Dentition – A Biomimetic Approach which was translated into 12 languages and considered one of the most outstanding books in field of adhesive and esthetic dentistry. Founding member of the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry and mentor of the Bio-Emulation think-tank group. In 2012 launched a revolutionary approach to the teaching of Dental Morphology, Function and Esthetics (the 2D/3D/4D approach) for freshman students at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
Dr. Parsa Zadeh, DDS, MAGD, FICOI
Dr. Zadeh is the founder of Dental Evolutions, Inc. and the inventor Implanova® dental implant system. He is a Master in the AGD and is a Fellow of the ICOI. Dr. Dan Grauer, DDS, BDS, MS, MOrth, PhD
Dr. Grauer maintains a practice limited to orthodontics in Santa Monica focused in computer-guided orthodontic treatment for teenagers and adults. He is a Professor of Advanced Orthodontics at the USC, an examiner for the American Board of Orthodontics, and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists Committee on Technology, and an Editor for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Grauer was trained in dentistry and orthodontics both in Europe and in the US, and he holds a PhD in Oral Biology by the University of North Carolina. His research interests are applications of CBCT in orthodontics, outcomes assessment in lingual orthodontics and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Dr. Glenn A. van As, BSc, DMD
Dr. Glenn A. van As graduated from the University of British Columbia (D.M.D.) in 1987. He is in full time private general practice emphasizing esthetic, implant and adult restorative dentistry in North Vancouver, B.C., Since 1997, Glenn has worked exclusively with the Dental Operating Microscope (D.O.M.). for all of his clinical dentistry. An original founder and past president of A.M.E.D., he is acknowledged as a leader in the accumulation of videography and digital photography captured through the microscope. Dr. van As holds a mastership from the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and was awarded the Leon Goldman award in 2006 presented each year to one person for world wide clinical excellence in the field of laser dentistry by the Academy, a feat that less than 20 people have achieved. Dr. van As has been placing implants since 2009, and restoring them for 20 years. He was awarded the top student award during his implant training with Dr. Sascha Jovanovic in Southern California (gIDE institute) during his year long master of implant training education. Dr. van As Glenn has given over 750 lectures and hands on workshops in 25 countries on lasers, microscopes, aesthetic dentistry and dental implants and has published over 50 articles. Dr. Heral Simon, DMD
Dr. Simon received his DMD degree from Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel and his specialty certificate in advanced prosthodontics from UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Simon has conducted research, published and lectured nationally and internationally on esthetics and implant prosthodontics. He has been a featured speaker at the AO, Academy of Prosthodontics, American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the Pacific Coast Society of Prosthodontics. Dr. Michael J. Gunson DDS, MD
Dr. Gunson graduated from UCLA Dental School & continued to receive his Medical Degree and Specialty Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from UCLA. Upon completion of training, he partnered with Dr. G. William Arnett at Center for Corrective Jaw Surgery in Santa Barbara, CA. Their surgical practice is limited to facial aesthetics and reconstruction. He examines and treats thousands of patients with aesthetic, functional, and sleep conditions. Olivier Tric, Dental Aesthetics
Olivier Tric began his studies in France at the College of Leonardo De Vinci and the University of Pharo while concurrently pursuing an apprenticeship in Dental Technology. After a 5 year apprenticeship, he launched a 15+ year career devoted to a thorough understanding of the principles of Dental Aesthetics and the mastery of specialized techniques in Dental Laboratory Technology. Dr. Shane N. White, B.Dent.Sc, MA, MS, PhD
Shane graduated from dental school at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He spent several years in private practice and part time teaching in Dublin. He then completed residencies in Prosthodontics and Endodontics at UCLA, and a PhD in Craniofacial Biology at USC. He enjoys teaching in DDS, specialty, and advanced degree programs; he is interested in curriculum and faculty development. His research focuses upon dental biological materials, principally genetic-structural relationships in enamel; he also works on patient-centered clinical outcomes. He has authored over 120 research papers, given over 300 invited lectures, and held a handful of NIH grants. He is a Professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he served as Chairman of the Section of Endodontics. He served the University of California system in various leadership positions including chair of UC Academic Council and Faculty Representative to the Board of Regents. He surfs whenever he can.
Dr. Jill E. Hansen-Kinzer, DDS
Dr. Jill Hansen-Kinzer graduated from University of Washington Dental School in 1999. Since then she has owned and operated a full-time fee-for-service microscope based practice in Gig Harbor, WA. Dr. Oded Bahat, BDS, MSD, FACD
Dr. Bahat graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand School of Medicine and Dentistry in South Africa in 1977. He received his specialty degree in Periodontology and his M.S.D from the University of Washington in 1981. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 1986. He was the chairman and director of the Post Doctorate Periodontics at the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry in Los Angeles, California from1983–87. He lectured extensively nationally and internationally on many surgical topics primarily related to surgical reconstruction of bone, soft tissue and implant reconstruction. He has published over 50 scientific articles and has edited multiple chapters in various textbooks. He is on the review board of the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants. He is currently in a private practice limited to surgical reconstruction implant surgery and periodontics in Beverly Hills, California and operates 3 times a year in London U.K. In 2018 Dr. Bahat was the recipient of the Master Clinician Award from the American Academy of Periodontology.
